Editorial Team & Review Process

LawLintel is published by Grandfield Media Private Limited. Rather than attaching invented personas to our pages, this page explains exactly who does what — and what we do and do not claim about our review process.

Who does what

The LawLintel Data Team researches every figure on this site directly against authoritative sources: state judiciary websites, statutes, county clerk fee schedules, uscourts.gov and justice.gov. Each fact is stored with its source and the date it was checked — the verification dates you see on every page are real research events, not publishing timestamps.

Source verification is a separate pass: before publication, each page's official fees, limits and statutory rules are traced back to the cited authority, and pages whose facts cannot be traced do not ship. When sources conflict or a rule has recently changed (several states changed name-change law in 2025, for example), we say so on the page rather than papering over it.

Editorial review covers the interpretive layer — process explanations, eligibility summaries, FAQs — under the risk tiers described in our editorial policy: the more consequence-sensitive the content, the more conservative the wording and the stricter the review.

What we don't claim

LawLintel's content is not currently reviewed by a licensed attorney, and we will not pretend otherwise. That is exactly why the site is built the way it is: we publish verifiable facts with their official sources rather than legal opinions, we label every market figure as an estimate, and we tell you plainly when something is a question for the court or a lawyer. If and when attorney review is added, reviewers will be named here with their real credentials.

How AI is used

We use AI systems to gather official sources, extract figures, cross-check facts and draft explanations — it is how a small team can verify fifty jurisdictions' worth of fee schedules in a way that stays current. AI is never the authority: every important figure is traceable to the cited official source, and the dataset — not a language model's memory — is what generates the pages. Accountability

Every page shows its verification date, cites its sources, and links to our corrections process. If you find an error, we want it reported — and reports with an official source link get fixed fastest. Contact: hello@lawlintel.com.
